M. Elizabeth Sands, MD

Dr. Sands, a native Houstonian, is a graduate of the University of Virginia and received her medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine. She completed her radiation oncology residency at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. Dr. Sands is a member of the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) and the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO).

Dr. Sands participates in numerous hospital committees and is past president of the North Branch of the Harris County Medical Society. She served on the Harris County Medical Society Executive Board as well on the Board of Trustees of the Houston Academy of Medicine. Dr. Sands also speaks at various community events.

Neelofur R. Ahmad, MD

Dr. Ahmad was born in Indianapolis, Indiana and is a graduate of Northwestern University. She received her medical degree from Northwestern University Medical School and completed her radiation oncology residency at Loyola University Medical Center and Thomas Jefferson University. She was Chief Resident in radiation oncology at Thomas Jefferson University.

Prior to coming to Houston, Dr. Ahmad was an Associate Member of the Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Subsequently, she was Assistant Professor of Radiation Oncology at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia. She authored numerous peer-reviewed publications during her academic career. Dr. Ahmad is a member of the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) and the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO).

Majid Mohiuddin, MD

Dr. Mohiuddin is originally from Philadelphia and graduated from Brown University. He received his medical degree from Brown University Medical School and completed his radiation oncology residency at the Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School. He also trained in brachytherapy at the Brigham & Women’s Hospital, Harvard.

Following his residency training, Dr. Mohiuddin was an Assistant Professor at the University of Maryland in Baltimore for three years. He specialized in breast and gynecological malignancies, authored numerous peer-reviewed publications, and received several research awards. He also has been an invited speaker to the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) and the FDA. Dr. Mohiuddin is a member of ASTRO and the Radiation Research Society (RRS).

Adeel Kaiser, MD

Dr. Kaiser is originally from Virginia, and received both his undergraduate and medical degrees from Johns Hopkins University. He completed his residency training at the University of California Irvine Integrated Program in Radiation Oncology, where he also served as Chief Resident. During this program he trained and conducted research at the City of Hope National Medical Center, and also received brachytherapy training at the Long Beach Memorial Medical Center.

Following residency, Dr. Kaiser spent two years at Loma Linda University Medical Center serving as Assistant Professor. He specialized in the treatment of breast, prostate, and gastrointestinal cancers. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications during his career, and has assisted in the creation and implementation of a number of clinical trials. He has also received several awards of excellence including the American Brachytherapy Society Fellowship Award and the Roentgen Resident/Fellow Research Award by the Radiological Society of North America. Dr. Kaiser is a member of the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO).

Arthur D. Hamberger, MD

Dr. Hamberger received his medical degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. He completed his radiation oncology residency at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. He was an Associate Professor of Radiotherapy at MD Anderson until 1982, and served as director of the residency training program. He also published numerous book chapters and articles in peer-reviewed journals. He has been in the private practice of radiation oncology since 1982 and has been at Memorial Hermann Northwest Hospital since 1991. Dr. Hamberger has a special interest in lymphomas, gynecologic cancer, and head and neck cancers. He joined Northwest Radiation Oncology in June, 2011 and is a member of the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO), the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) and the American College of Radiology (ACR).
