Our treatment facilities house two main types of radiation therapy equipment: computers for treatment planning and state-of-the-art equipment for treatment delivery.
Northwest Radiation Oncology offers specialized radiation therapy services for the treatment of all types of adult cancer. We have expertise in both external beam irradiation and brachytherapy, or “internal” radiation therapy.
External Beam Services Include:
IMRT (intensity modulated radiation therapy) for high-precision targeting of tumors and IGRT (image guided radiation therapy)
SBRT (stereotactic body radiation therapy) for high precision radiosurgical treatment of selected cancers
3-D conformal therapy for high-precision targeting of most cancers
Brachytherapy Services Include:*
Accelerated partial breast irradiation (APBI), a one-week treatment for selected patients with early breast cancer
High dose rate (HDR) brachytherapy
